Katalin Lovassy
Montessori Educator

Katalin (she/her) is a dedicated Montessori educator with a specialisation in early childhood development, focusing on children from birth to six years of age. She holds an internationally recognized 0-3 Assistant to Infancy AMI Diploma, which she earned in London, England in 2018, furthermore 3-6 and 6-12 AMI assistant course certificates. With many years of classroom experience as a Lead Guide, Katalin now focuses on supporting families in raising their children the Montessori way, offering guidance on integrating Montessori principles into home environments.
Originally from Hungary, Katalin now resides in Sussex, England with her family. Her international work extends beyond her current role, as she actively supports 0-3 AMI Montessori training courses in London, Prague, and Mumbai, helping to shape the next generation of Montessori educators.
Katalin’s career path is deeply rooted in her passion for education. Prior to her Montessori journey, she spent many years working in underprivileged areas across Africa and the Caribbean, where she contributed to various educational projects.
In addition to her educational work, Katalin is a board member of Montessori Education for Autism, a charity focused on supporting children with autism through Montessori principles. Her involvement in this organisation reflects her passion for inclusive education and her dedication to creating enriching learning environments for all children. Katalin has also contributed to other charitable projects, including supporting the Montessori initiative in Tanzania, the Sitara Toto Trust.
Katalin's expertise extends beyond the classroom. She offers personalised support to families through home visits, online mentoring, and consultations, helping families implement Montessori methods in their daily lives. Her goal is to empower parents with the tools and knowledge to create nurturing and stimulating environments for their children, in line with Montessori philosophy.
Katalin collaborates closely with Mariana Bissonnette on the PEACE Program as a PEACE facilitator. In this role, she is focusing on parent education, offering expert guidance and developmental context to families with children under the age of six.
Katalin offers specialised services for families and elderly individuals with dementia, utilising the Montessori method. Drawing on her expertise in Montessori principles, she provides tailored support to families to improve the quality of life for individuals with dementia.
Whether working with students training to become Montessori guides or mentoring families, Katalin is deeply committed to sharing her knowledge and fostering the holistic development of children.
